«Energia Satellite Technologies» - Joint Venture of RSC "Energia" JSC and Airbus Defense and Space (former EADS Astrium). With the goal of comprehensive solution of task to acquire breakthrough technologies of manufacturing various purpose spacecraft, to provide high quality and to manage projects between RSC Energia and EADS Astrium "Agreement on establishment of a Joint Venture to develop and manufacture perspective telecomm and Earth observation satellites" was signed on June 21, 2011 at Le Bourget Air Show with support of Mr. V.Putin.

On February 06, 2012 Roscosmos by its decision endorsed the following: "...introduction of European technologies shall be at the level of platforms and spacecraft themselves on the basis of the Joint Venture being established by RSC Energia and EADS Astrium".

On October 16, 2012 Mr. D.Rogozin, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government approved the following Directive: "Representatives of the interests of the Russian Federation - Members of the Board of Directors of the S.P.Korolev "RSC "Energia"" JSC (hereinafter referred to as "Company") when voting on issue of BoD Meeting Agenda "On establishment a Joint Venture by the Company and EADS Astrium" must vote "In Favor" of establishment... of a Joint Venture"..

On December 14, 2012 organizational documents on establishing "Energia Satellite Technologies" Joint Venture were signed.

On January 14, 2013 the company was registered in the city of Korolev in the Russian Federation. Shares in equity capital are as follows - 51% for RSC "Energia", 49% for Airbus Defense and Space. Members of the Board of Directors are as follows - V.L.Solntsev, President of RSC "Energia", I.V.Frolov, General Designer of SC of RSC "Energia", Francois Auque, Member of the Board of Airbus Group and Head of "Space Systems" Division of Airbus Defense and Space, Arnaud De Roneau, Senior Vice-President of Airbus Defense and Space, head of "Telecomm Satellites" Direction, V.V.Terekhov, Director General of "Energia Satellite Technologies" LLC.

On February 28, 2013 "License agreement on joint use of technologies" was signed between JV and mother companies in presence of the Presidents of Russia and France in Kremlin.

Top-priority tasks of JV (2013-2016) are as follows:

Top-priority task of JV is to set-up a comprehensive team of specialists, to perform training and practical study at Airbus DS, to acquire advanced technologies of designing telecomm SC and payload modules, to provide quality and project management, to manufacture high power SC within the frameworks of Express-AM4R and AM7 programs being implemented by EADS Astrium and "Space Communications" FSUE (RSCC) - undergoing.
Manufacture of competitive telecomm satellites with 4 kW to 8 kW payloads on the basis of RSC "Energia" developments and Airbus DS technologies and equipment.
In 2015 JV started works under the project of “Delivering telecomm satellite for the Ministry of Communications of Angola” - "Angosat". JV is responsible for introduction of advance project management methods, for coordination of system design of SC on the basis of the Russian and European technologies and equipment as well as for coordination of further complex tests of "Angosat" SC.
Together with mother companies "Energia Satellite Technologies" JV conducts active consultations with potential customers on its participation in other projects on manufacturing telecomm spacecraft.

JSC “Ka-Internet” is a dynamically developing satellite communication service provider. It started provision of services in April, 2012 through the “KA-SAT” satellite (9 deg. East). Today more than 2000 subscribers work in the net provided by JSC “Ka-Internet” and get high quality service in the Ka-band (the speed for one subscriber is up to 20 Mbit/s).

ISS-Reshetnev Company was founded on June 4, 1959 as an eastern branch of Sergey Korolev’s Experimental Design Bureau-1 (also known as OKB-1). In 1961 it was reorganized into the independent OKB-10. Then in 1966 the company was renamed as the Design Bureau of Applied Mechanics, and starting from 1977 it was called the Scientific and Production Association of Applied Mechanics (NPO PM). In 2008 the company got the name it has today – Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems. In the early 1960s the company went ahead with the design and development of satellites and satellite systems for a wider range of applications: fixed and mobile communications, navigation, geodesy and data-relaying. Throughout its 55 years, the Reshetnev Company has built more than 1200 spacecraft and commissioned 40 space-based systems and complexes, contributing a lot to ensuring defense capabilities of our country, supporting the national economy and promoting international cooperation. In the 1970s ISS-Reshetnev became the first company in the USSR to build satellites intended to carry out their missions in the geostationary orbit, such as satellites of the Gorizont, Potok, Loutch, Ekran-M, Raduga, Express and Express-AM series. At the same time, in 1970s, the company began working on the global navigation satellite system GLONASS. The first satellite in the system was launched into orbit in 1982. Today ISS-Reshetnev Company designs and manufactures advanced navigation satellites, low-orbiting, highly elliptical and geostationary satellites for communications, TV broadcasting, data-relaying and geodetic purposes ordered by Russian and foreign customers.
